Stom Mollison continues to make a big impression. She's already released a string of admired solo EPs on Hot Haus, Forever Records and W&O Street Tracks, and last year scored a colossal international club hit alongside Dutch producer Ki/Ki ('Get Ready For The Party'). Here she makes her bow on Heist via an EP that showcases her songwriting and singing skills as much as her production chops. 'Act Like That' and 'Workin' are both deep, soulful and propulsive house jams peppered with attractive references to 21st century r&b, while 'Gotta Go' is a bouncy, chunky and piano-rich affair that sits somewhere between Cinthie and Peggy Gou. Best of all though is 'Doin' Something', a peak-time ready, organ-rich roller topped off by raps and spoken word vocals from Aaron Pfeiffer.
